Well, Summer Sure Flew By!
Hopefully, you have had a chance to unwind and find some relaxation time before this new school year begins. If not, drop what you’re doing and get some, because IT’S BAAACK… homework, routines, schedules, activities, and all the things that come with back to school. Yes, all these things can be tiring, but Suki is going to have you looking fabulous for all of it!!!
Drop Off/Pick Up Fashion?!!
Now, you’re probably saying, “Listen, lady, pajama pants are my jam and I am not changing that for anything!” Trust me, I understand the love of pajama pants, especially during busy mornings, when Child 1 refuses to wake up and Child 2 decides to chip a tooth while running with her blankie. (Yes, it’s happened and no, don’t ask any questions about said incident!)
But, whether you are a stay at home or working mama, please try to have all your clothes organized the night before, or at least an idea of what you want to wear in your head, so you can easily grab and go. If you are doing drop off and then headed to work at home, workout outfits are your best friend. (I mean, who cares if you actually work out in them, at least you’ll look cute!) There are so many fashion-forward brands ranging from Walmart to Lululemon for every budget. Bonus, you might be inspired to get that workout in!
For my mamas who work outside the home, dresses are an easy way to look put together in a snap. Yes, I know I sound like a broken record, but I am telling you dresses are the biggest timesavers ever! (You can read my previous articles on the blog, where I repeatedly mention dresses!) Monochromatic looks are also easy to throw together. As is a nice white blouse paired with any bottom. (And yes, I’ve already said a prayer to the coffee gods for you so you won’t spill it on that beautiful blouse. )
School Events…
It is highly recommended that you’re involved in your child’s school activities. It definitely does not have to be all of them, but you should aim for a couple throughout the year. For field trips, always have a mom purse with all the essentials and wear comfy outfits like jeans and the school t-shirt. For Back to School Night, try something a little more business casual, since it is really the first official meeting with parents and teachers in your child’s class.
