One of the things I love most about motherhood is that it is oh so humbling! It’s like right when you think you’ve mastered it or have got it down bam the universe looks you in the eyes and laughs in your face. At least that’s how I felt when I thought I mastered mealtime. I worked real hard at baby-led weaning with both my boys, offered variety, and never gave them another option! My friends were in shock hearing my kids asking for sushi, roasted broccoli, and protein shakes… I was the master at mealtime. Or so I thought!
Insert Miss Scarlet Monroe. The universe sent her to humble me and for the first time I’ve gotten to experience what it’s like to have a “picky eater.” And let’s just say, “if you know you know,” and well if you don’t know… you might in just a few short years.

Lean ground turkey, lentils, spinach, zucchini, squash, Primal Kitchen tomato sauce. Brown ground turkey, add all other ingredients to an Instapot and cook for 20 mins with the lid closed. Add in your favorite pasta and voila!
2. Protein Shakes
Optimum Nutrition chocolate whey protein, ice, 8 oz milk, 1 tbsp PB2, blend and enjoy!
3. PB & Fruit Rice Cakes
Unsalted plain rice cake (we like the thin ones), spread your favorite PB on top, and add berries, chia seeds, and thin-sliced almonds. Enjoy!
