Once our little ones can give us opinions in the kitchen, it is time to get them making a snack or two for themselves. Bananas are a wonderful source of immediate energy and potassium. On the other hand, almond butter provides protein which takes longer to digest and will keep your crew fuller longer. Together these make for an ideal snack and an easy way to get them making something for themselves.
Here’s what you’ll need
– Ezekiel wrap
– Raw almond butter (or your favorite raw nut butter)
– Banana
Make it
Smash up the banana with the almond butter before spreading it on the Ezekiel wrap. But never feel limited, you can also add the banana whole or sliced up. Enjoy!
For those who want more creativity in the kitchen, you can add in berries, hemp seeds, or even a dash of honey to jazz this recipe up.
Now if your little ones need more of a visual, here’s a video to get them going.
Teaching our children to create healthy snacks is a gift for a lifetime. As I always say…”You are growing an adult from scratch with each and every bite,” so grow a strong and healthy one with good choices and a love for the kitchen.
With Peace and Love,
