The 4th of July is when we celebrate our country’s independence. When I think about the 4th of July, the first things that come to mind are the kiddos gathered around and watching fireworks after a cookout and eating s’mores. The 4th of July represents everything that is summer!
Where can I see fireworks this year you may ask? Don’t worry, Momma! I got you. Below are some local events going on in Miami this 4th of July:
Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables
After two years, their fireworks show is back. Woo-hoo! The lawn is free and open to the public which will open at 5 pm. There will be a concert to kick off the festivities and a 9 pm fireworks show. There are tickets for a Stars and Stripes Barbeque Dinner. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased online.
Miami Springs Golf and Country Club, Miami Springs
An annual tradition, Miami Spring’s golf course hosts their annual fireworks show at 8:00 pm. There will be prior events that weekend leading up to this event. For example on July 3rd, you can catch their classic car show at the circle.
America’s Birthday Bash in Bayfront Park
This is one of the largest 4th of July events in Miami. The fireworks display will start at 9 pm. You can stop by earlier as there will be food trucks, vendors, live music, and other fun stuff to do with the kiddos.
Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade
This year marks the 63rd annual parade. The parade starts at 11 am sharp and will go down Crandon Blvd. from Harbor Drive to West Wood Drive. The Key Biscayne fireworks are still not confirmed but expected to happen. Fingers crossed!
Race to the 4th at Homestead Speedway
This annual event is held at the Homestead Speedway and is returning to its traditional format. The event is held from 6-10 pm. There will be food vendors, live music, and a kids’ zone with midway-style games. Bring out the whole family to explore the speedway.
Boat Parade 4th Of July Fireworks Kayak and Paddleboard Tour
For those of us that are a little more adventurous, this event is from 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm, that’s right a nighttime adventure that starts at Virginia Key Outdoor Center. Tickets start at $65.00. This tour boasts having the best view of multiple fireworks shows in all of Miami! The flotilla will paddle around the Virginia Key Cove and watch fireworks from South Beach and Bayfront Park and will be just a few hundred yards from the BIG SHOW — Fisher Island.
Other places to catch fireworks throughout Miami are:
- Trump National Doral in Doral
- Milander Park in Hialeah
- Calder Casino in Miami Gardens
- Miami Brach Fourth of July Fireworks
- Peacock Park in Coconut Grove
- Cutler Bay Fourth of July Celebration
These are just some of the many Fourth of July events going on this year. Have fun and be safe. Don’t forget the sunscreen and mosquito repellant. Let us know how you plan on spending the 4th of July this year in the comments below.
