Earth Day should encourage us to reflect on what we are doing to make our planet a more sustainable and livable place. –Scott Peters
Spring Out of Stress
April is also Stress Awareness Month. With our fast-paced lifestyles, social and work pressures, and the constant use of technology, we’re more prone to stress than ever before. The COVID-19 pandemic has made many of us worry about health, financial security, and social isolation which has added to our already high stress levels.
Common Causes of Stress

- World problems
5 Strategies to Help You Cope With Stress
Exercise: Get your blood pumping to release endorphins and boost your mood. Even a 10-minute walk can make a difference!
Mindfulness: Try deep breathing and meditation to help you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions which may help you feel more at ease.
Social support: Connect with others and spend time with friends and family to help increase oxytocin and decrease cortisol levels.
Time management: Prioritize tasks and set realistic goals to avoid overwhelm.
Self-care: Investing in yourself and taking care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally can help you cope with stress better. This includes getting enough sleep, eating nourishing food, and engaging in activities that bring you joy.
