It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Decorations are going up, menus are being planned and all of the incredible sales all point to one thing… the holiday season is here. Our country has been through a lot over the past 20 months and what better way to come together and show support than during Giving Tuesday 2021. This global effort was created to bring the world together. Since it was created in 2012, nonprofits in the United States have raised close to 2 billion dollars.
Giving Tuesday 2021
Giving Tuesday always takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year it is taking place on November 30, 2021. Giving Tuesday is a day where we can share our gifts and talents with those who need help the most. You may be wondering what do I have to offer? Trust me, we all have something to give whether it’s our time, money, or service. Every penny, every hour, every second counts.
Giving Tuesday is a day that helps nonprofit organizations raise more money than they normally would on a regular day of giving. Special campaigns take place to inspire people to give. You may see commercials or magazine ads encouraging your support. Best of all most donations are tax-deductible so it’s a great time to do your end-of-year giving. I hope that you will join in on this incredible movement to help spread kindness to those in need.
Ways to Give
There are several ways to get involved this year.
- Volunteer at a local shelter.
- Make a donation to a local charity.
