Camelot Days Medieval Festival is a family-friendly tradition with a little something for everyone. Whether you’re a Boy Mom, Girl Mom, or Referee Mom constantly breaking up wrestling matches between your mix, Camelot Days Medieval Festival hits that sweet spot where everyone finds something to enjoy.
If you don’t know how hard it can be to find a place where everyone in your family is happy, I took the liberty of drawing a rudimentary Venn Diagram to illustrate:
FIVE CAN’T MISS EVENTS AT CAMELOT DAYS
1. FREE Scavenger hunt, “The Quest”- Hosted by the Camelot Days Royal Chessmen, kids are treated to an interactive Clue-style scavenger hunt through the fair to solve the mystery of “who’s done it.” When the mystery is solved, participants win a prize!
2. FREE Camelot Days Scout Patch Educational Scavenger Hunt – Add an educational element to your visit by completing the Scout Patch challenge, where kids learn about medieval history from characters throughout the festival. Not limited to Girl and Boy Scouts, homeschool groups are welcome as well!
3. Family-Friendly stage- You’ll find entertainers throughout the Camelot Days Medieval Festival, but be sure to check out their Family Friendly stage with interactive shows from performance groups such as “Trash or Treasure” and “The Charmings,” an a cappella group of princesses debuting this year.
4. Jousting- With hooves pounding and armor rattling, the jousting tournament will thrill everyone in your family.
5. Costumes— Still feeling the post-Halloween blues? Camelot Days has a daily costume contest for adults and kids. Or if you’re not feeling like dressing up, just feast your eyes on the creativity of your fellow lovers of anachronisms.
