On Friday, October 25, parents and kids took advantage of the Miami-Dade County Public School’s Teacher Planning Day and headed over to Marina Kids Park for Miami Moms Blog’s 1st Annual Hanging with Heroes Event!
Event Host Sponsor
First of all, this event would not be possible without our SUPER partners. Marina Kids Park was the perfect place to host this event. This place has it all, from virtual reality and video game stations to an underwater-themed indoor playground. They provide children with a strong message about saving the oceans and even have characters to go along with the park. Nautico and Ada Marina made their debut at Hanging with Heroes during our superhero show.
Children enjoyed all of the different activities offered during this event. The moment you walked in you were greeted with a fun fall photo opportunity made possible by Vintage Charm Rentals. It was the perfect fall backdrop for a quick fall family picture.
Quintessential Party Planning sponsored a DIY cape station. Children and parents were able to design their own cape and take it home as a keepsake.
Creative Cove offered a shield and mask decorating station. This station was a hit throughout the entire event. It was continuously filled with eager children who wanted to embrace their inner Picasso.
Kids were lining up to get their faces painted by Caroline Party. The amazing team from Caroline Party was able to do any kind of face paint kids (and adults!) could dream up! Spiderman, Batman, rainbows, and giraffe faces — they did it all! Caroline Party also provided an outstanding superhero show. Superman, Spiderman, and Captain Marvel each made a cameo and kept the crowd entertained with games, activities, and even a dance party.
Ocaquatics is a large local swim school with 5 convenient locations all over Miami. All of their locations include an indoor pool, so swim lessons are never canceled due to weather. Now with their new Eureka location, they can even host children’s birthday parties! It was wonderful to have them at the event sharing water safety tips with families and they even provided a giveaway!
Our friends at Color Crayations has given regular crayons a revamp! Their handmade custom crayons come in all shapes and sizes and are perfect to give out as favors for parties. Every child at the event took home an emoji crayon and they all went wild about this unique favor from Hanging with Heroes.
We had delicious sips and light bites for kids and parents to snack on. My Tea Bar provided their delicious (and beautiful) tea station with their very popular blueberry tea. Tapanadas also provided mini tequeños and empanadas. It didn’t take long before they were all gone!
Don’t forget the sweets! We had a beautiful cake table designed and styled by Quintessential Party Planning. Sweet Treat Designs provided cake pops, cupcakes, Oreos, Rice Krispies treats, and dessert cups. Everyone was raving about how delicious all these sweets were!
What’s a Miami Moms Blog event without some SUPER giveaways? Guests chose the raffle they wanted to enter as they walked in. We had a $100 gift card from Blos Roses, gift cards to Sloan’s Ice Cream shop, a wonderful swim package from Ocaquatics, day passes for workouts from Cycle Bar Doral, a special gift from Elements Skincare and many more!
