Happy Fall Ya’ll
Well, it is my favorite time of the year. We don’t have much change in the weather here in Miami, but we can pretend we do… Lol!
What I love most about this time of the year is:
- Decorating for fall with pumpkins & fall decor
- Pumpkin… coffee, candles, pie, etc.
- Everyone is in a good mood for some reason
- The fall fashion & looks: I love warm colors such as copper, brown, black, taupe, oatmeal, blush, cream, and gray
- Boot season! Nothing like a good bootie
- Choosing your kids’ Halloween costumes
I think it is so fun to create traditions with your kids. My 3 kids range in age from 13 to 8 years old. I believe more is caught than taught and they watch what we do. I pray and hope they transfer those traditions to their future kids. Here are some things to do in Miami for fall with the kids:
- Go to Wynwood & take some fun family pics with the cool graffiti walls
- Jungle Island’s Festival of Lights (Chinese lanterns)
- The Night Garden at Fairchild Tropical Gardens
- Burrs Berry Farm Harvest Festival – You get that country harvest feel in MIA
On the weekends there are:
- Sunflower fields for great photos
- Pumpkin patch
- Corn maze
- Hayride
- Pumpkin painting
- Face painting
- Corn pit
- Pumpkin shakes
- Exotic animals on the weekends from 2-5pm
- Pony rides on the weekend
Make a list of all you want to do this fall with the family
- Pumpkin patch
- Make an apple pie from scratch
- Go get Halloween costumes together
- Enjoy kettle corn
- Decorate your front porch
- Do a corn maze
- Make pumpkin bread
- Carve a pumpkin
- Watch a holiday movie
- Make fall colored slime
- Make homemade apple cider
- Go on a hayride
- Try a DIY project
- Make candied apples
- Make pumpkin seeds to eat at a picnic at the park
- Go see fall leaves change up north
- Go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas
Anyway… there are so many fun things to do this fall with your kids. Enjoy and start making that list! And if you need help with any fall fashion ideas or beauty tips, follow me @nsddacia.
