Summer is in full swing and we were excited to kick off our Summer Playdate Series at Gymboree in Merrick Park on July 9!
We recently hosted our first playdate since the beginning of the pandemic and it was a huge success! Moms were eager to meet-up at the well-known Gymboree in Coral Gables (Did you know that this Gymboree has been in business for more than 25 years?!)
It was such an encouraging time to gather with other mothers (and grandmothers!) and allow our children to play together in fun and safe environment.
The Venue: Gymboree Coral Gables
If you are unfamiliar with Gymboree, we encourage you to schedule a visit ASAP! You will not be disappointed. The space is open, bright, and most of all – exceptionally clean! We were greeted by the kind staff and directed to take off our shoes before we entered the play area (We love this good habit of keeping the shoe germs off of the toys!) Pro tip: Adults should pack a pair of socks as they are required for entry into the play area.
Gymboree Coral Gables is not just a free-for-all playground. The play structures and the instructors are all influenced by proven child development research in order to optimize children’s growth and learning.
Our favorite thing: the kids are learning through play! Music and movement are combined with games and segments of free play. Children were learning about balance, rhythm, and color recognition all while having fun!
Our amazing instructor, Jadie, made the class engaging, interactive, and personal for everyone. She catered to the needs or a diverse group of children aged 6 months to 5 years! (This is not easy!) She even promised that every mom would have a successful nap time for their child after the visit and she did not disappoint. When she pulls out the bubble machine the crowd went wild!

My Tea Bar kept us hydrated with their handcrafted Berry Blues tea (a favorite among Moms and children alike!). How beautiful are these cakesicles by Dessert Bites Miami? We all definitely earned a sweet treat after running and jumping with our little ones at Gymboree.
Even the kids took home some fun swag thanks to Gymboree Coral Gables.
What is a Miami Mom Collective Event without giveaways?
Thank you to our outstanding giveaway partners for providing fun giveaways for this event. One lucky Mom took home a matching backpack and lunch box set from Pottery Barn Kids at Merrick Park. Another Mom walked away with a gorgeous new clutch courtesy of Ann Taylor at Merrick Park. Who doesn’t love a spa treatment? Thanks to Bloomed Med Spa, one Mom won a laser facial valued at $249!
