Daniela is a first time mama to a precious 1 year old baby boy, Oscar. She was born in Ecuador, but was been raised in Miami. She met her husband in law school in South Carolina, and after graduation they moved down to Miami– even though he didn’t speak a word of Spanish! They are creating their own Ecuadorian-American traditions for their family, navigating meshing cultures and trying to establish a bilingual household. Daniela lives in Doral with her husband, her son, and their 1-year-old puppy. Crazy enough, their son and their dog are only 1 month apart. As an attorney, it has been interesting navigating the working mom ropes. She is lucky to be able to work from home some days, which has made all the difference. Daniela enjoys cooking, baking, traveling with her family, and dancing it out in the living room with her son after a long day. She is always interested in finding healthier ways to enjoy food, trying to run a cleaner household, and simplifying the never-ending mom list. All while running after a very energetic toddler! Follow along on @danielasmuir to get a glimpse into their family!

She began writing poems when she was 15 years old and her love for writing continued through out the years. At the age of 21 she moved to San Diego, California where she lived for two years only to make her way back home. Although her passion for psychology is strong, her love for writing has taken her to new beginnings, where she received her master’s in new media journalism. She has worked with small companies and big companies utilizing her skills in social media. As a stay at home of two boys she knew she still wanted to write, and she does freelance writing and helps manage social media accounts for others. Along the way she discovered she wanted something more and became a fitness and wellness coach, helping others on their health journey while she goes through her own health journey. “I am growing each day and working on becoming the best version of me!” She suffers from hyperthyroidism, anxiety and depression.
