Deck The Walls with DIY Wreaths, Fa, La, La, La, La….
Miami Mom Collective was excited to host our 2nd Annual Deck The Walls Event on Saturday, November 27th. This event was a national event of the City Mom Collective. It aims to spread holiday cheer during what has been a challenging season for many.

The Venue:
We were excited to partner with The Mom Economy for this beloved event. The beautiful SHOP MOM pop-up space in Dadeland Mall was the venue for this fun event and it did not disappoint.
With the help of Shopify, The Mom Economy (501c3) unveiled a timely retail-working space and customization experience located in Dadeland Mall. The pop-up space, called SHOP MOM, will host female-owned business collaborations, interactive experiences, Shopify workshops and more. Acting as a cowering space, lounge and pop-up, the concept store’s main mission is to raise awareness and funding for parental leave for female-owned businesses.
It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like…
Christmas! We were overjoyed to spread Christmas cheer and provide a place for Moms to celebrate the season. Thanks to The Home Depot and The Home Depot Foundation for our supplies. We were able to literally “deck the walls” with gorgeous DIY wreaths.
Our Miami Mom Collective Events Team Members Minnie, Diana, Jessica, and Illiett served to make the event extra special!
DIY Wreath-Making:
Under the direction of our DIY Expert Illiett Ojeda of Chasinbalance every woman was able to create a beautiful wreath that they felt proud to hang in their home! Illiett offered her encouragement that every person is a natural creative. Her contagious joy made everyone feel confident in their work.
Tis the Season for Giving Back!
A portion of the Deck The Walls Event ticket sales supported The Mom Economy to help raise awareness and funding for parental leave for female-owned businesses. It was awesome to gather together to enjoy a time of fellowship and fun, all while giving back to a great organization.
Swag & Giveaways
It is not Miami Mom Collective event without amazing giveaways from brands we know and love! Nearly every woman who attended the event went home with an awesome giveaway.
Thanks to Papa John’s South Florida for providing every attendee with a Large Pizza. BODYARMOR kept all of our guests hydrated with their electrolyte packed sports drinks!
Giveaways included: Loloma coconut oil, a Black + Decker vacuum, Three Peaks Manuka Honey, a gift card to pediped, Evenflo feeding products, an ErgoPouch Sleep Suit bag, a gift package from goSili, Papa John’s Pizza Party Prize Pack, a lounge set from Celeste Sol, Chinola gift bag, and a Santa footprint stencil by Casa Viera to name a few!
As if that wasn’t enough, we also had these additional amazing prizes: Selah Skin Studio Self Care Gift Box, tickets to Philip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science, delicious treats from Sweets By Selene and Cakes for a Cause Bakeshop, and adorable headbands from Mimi & Lulu!
