This is kind of depressing to think of this MOMS but we actually only have 18 summers left with our kids until they go off to college or become adults. Definitely puts things in perspective right? It makes me want to really appreciate and plan fun things during the summer.
Summer is such a great time where so many great memories can be made.
NO SCHEDULES- LONGER DAYS-FREEDOM-NO SCHOOL-BEACH DAYS- TRAVEL-SLEEPING IN-CAMPS…
Well even though things have sure not been normal in 2020 so far… BOY have we had to pivot right?
Even more reason to be POSITIVE, have a good attitude and make the best of it. Our kids are watching our attitudes and every move. Even though it has not been very “normal’ since March, we as moms can create fun and normalcy.
Here are some ideas of things to do to make SUMMER 2020 memorable:
• Make a bucket list of all that the kids want to do this summer at home or outdoors
• Swimming in your pool or plastic pool in the backyard
• Picnic
• Sidewalk chalk designs
• Water gun fights
• Fireworks
• Family game night
• Go boating (tubing)
• Draw pictures
• Make slime
• Family puzzle
• Paint rocks
• Write letters to friends
• Make a fort
• Ride bikes
• Make breakfast for dinner
• Have a baking contest
• Road trip not too far away
• Make a lemonade stand
• Everyone journals
• Make tye die outfits and shirts
Add to this list, I just wanted to get your mind going. Then make a chart for your refrigerator or magnet board with your family list!
There are so many ways to fill your days and make Summer 2020 memorable. Remember kids don’t need a lot, they have fun doing the simplest things.
Out of the list I gave you I want to challenge you to choose 10/20 things you will do to make memories and make this summer count.
