Taking Photos: A Few Tricks for Snapping Better Ones!

0

Hey, Sweet Mamas!

I’m a sucker for taking photos of my little man, my family, and my friends. To me, there is something magical about capturing a moment in time. Oh, the bliss of a lifelong memory we get to hold onto!

After sharing a few tricks about taking better photos with my girlfriends, I figured I would share them with my virtual mom friends, too:

  • Take a quick second to wipe your lens with your shirt. This will remove any dirt, grime, and debris that are lingering on your phone.
  • Use the filters on the corner of your iPhone for various color schemes.  See Exhibits A & B below.

  • Take your time. If your little one is wiggling around, it’s ok! Capture him/her in their element even if it’s hard to capture. Try not to get frustrated and keep practicing instead.
  • Shoot from different angles. Top, bottom, left, right, through an object… have fun and get creative.
  • Shoot a video if no one is around to take your photo, then screenshot your moment.
  • Try to avoid using flash because it doesn’t produce the best photos. Instead, try to find the best natural light or move towards the light.
  • LIGHTING! Lighting is everything so do your best to try to find it. Remember to face the light for the best natural photos.
  • Create an album on Google Photos or on your phone so that you can print all of your photos out at a later date.

I hope this has been helpful to you!  Let me see your moments of glory and share your photos by tagging us on Instagram

Much love,
