Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 3 hours
Servings 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Seedless Watermelon (cut using 2 longways slices)
  • 20 popsicle sticks (there will likely be extra)

Instructions

  • Cut the ¼ watermelon piece into ¾ inch triangle slices. Note: you may have to discard or eat the end pieces. Then cut the triangles in half or into thirds to make them the desired size.
  • Remove any visible seeds from the watermelon triangles.
  • Insert popsicle stick through the middle of the green rind about 2 inches into the watermelon.
  • Place watermelon pops onto a baking sheet. Place baking sheet into freezer and freeze for 2-3 hours before enjoying. You may need to use 2 baking sheets.

Notes

Tips and tricks:
If you are having trouble getting the popsicle sticks through the rind you can first make an incision with a knife.  You can also use lollipop sticks which are easier to insert but harder for little hands to hold onto when attached to something heavy like a watermelon slice.
