Brunch is special, isn’t it? And in a late-night, event town like Miami, going out for brunch at a local restaurant is part of what makes life in Miami fun! So whether you’re visiting from out of town or looking to make plans for Mother’s Day, Easter, or just because, we’ve got some solid recommendations for you. Check them out below!
Little Hen | Midtown
Little Hen is a gorgeous picturesque brunch spot in the heart of Midtown Miami. They are so popular that reservations are highly recommended. But not only is the interior decor beautiful, but the food is also amazing! I personally love the avocado toast with egg and my husband is a huge fan of the Cuban bagel. We also love their exotic fruit platter which comes with mango, kiwi, lychee, blackberry, blueberry, and more. While I’m not a big alcohol and sweets person, I know that a lot of patrons love their rose petal pancakes and mixology cocktail creations. The place is very Instagrammable so it offers a good occasion to take your cutest brunch outfit out of the closet.
Amara at Paraiso | Edgewater
If you’re looking for a brunch place that represents the ultimate Miami vibe, look no further and head to Amara at Paraiso in Edgewater. The waterfront views are breathtaking! Just keep in mind that Miami summers get hot, so I personally prefer to sit inside which is equally beautiful. The service is very attentive and the food is delicious. They prepare all the food freshly in-house including the whipped cream! Some of my favorite foods are the breakfast tacos, short rib empanadas, guava French toast, and the Wagyu burger. I recommend saving some space for dessert as their Dulce de Leche flan is delicious. Fun brunch drink to try: the Chismosa, a prosecco with passionfruit liquor. Bon Appétit!
Neverland Coffee Bar | North Miami Beach
“Would you like an adventure now, or would like to have your tea first?” Peter Pan said this to the Darling children to coax them on an adventure. If you are up for an adventure, then Neverland Coffee Bar is a brunch spot you will want to try. Nestled away in a cozy little corner near Greynolds Park, just south of Aventura in North Miami Beach sits this eclectic coffee bar. The name calls it a coffee bar, but it is more than just a coffee bar. It is a house filled with Peter Pan interior design and antique-style furniture. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and I really had a hard time choosing where I wanted to enjoy my brunch.
The staff greets you at the front as you enter under the words, Neverland. It feels like you are walking into a garden patio full of greenery. There are vintage trinkets all around and it takes time to notice them all. The hostess hands you a menu and welcomes you inside to order at the counter. If you have come for brunch, you can find some really yummy choices under Everlasting Brunch. They offer the Neverland Lovers breakfast, which includes omelets, cheeses, and croissants. And of course, Tinkerbell must be a part of the fun, with her very own Tinkerbell Waffles sprinkled with some pixie dust. They have a lot of choices for coffee and tea, under their Neverland Creations. One of my favorites was the Miami Iced Tea. It is a green tea with mint, lemon, and passion fruit. It was so refreshing.
When you go, plan for extra time, as the location does have limited parking; so you will need some patience in getting a parking spot. It is a popular place, but we did not have a reservation and we got right in on a Saturday around 12 noon. If you are a Peter Pan fan, you will also want extra time to check out all the décor to honor the theme of Neverland. It is a fun and warm local spot with opportunities to sit on a couch and work or outside on the patio with friends. If you are looking for that magical experience, you will love this local Miami brunch spot.
Pinch Kitchen & Bar | Upper East Side
Pinch Kitchen and Bar was born out of the motto of, “A pinch of this and a pinch of that”. Every item on their menu is made fresh daily, except for two items that they source out. Pinch is in the Upper East Side of Miami in a building that looks like it may have been a home or business. They sit right on the corner of NE 86 Street and Biscayne Boulevard. It is a quaint location with a couple of rooms inside, outside patio dining, and a bar. The interior design is homey, and you feel like you could be sitting in someone’s kitchen or outside patio.
When you go to Pinch for brunch, or any meal for that matter, you go for the taste and uniqueness of the food. Every dish comes to your table and as much as you love the taste, you know that Chef Gallo put love into making it. The brunch menu offers from steak n’ eggs to chicken and waffles. We decided to order the eggs Benedict and stuffed french toast. The french toast was decadent, and it is truly stuffed with guava and whipped cream cheese. It is served with guava-maple syrup. This is every guava lover’s dream come true. The eggs Benedict is also out of this world. It is served with caramelized onions, chicken apple sausage, and house potatoes. It was a lot of food and we had to take some to go. Pinch also serves bottomless Mimosas to enjoy that true brunch experience.
While Miami has many brunch spots that have great Instagram-worthy experiences and offer brunch, Pinch is where you go for an over-the-top brunch-tasting experience. You will be talking about it for days. Their brunch is available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12 noon to 5 pm. Just a note to remember, if you can’t make it for brunch, you can go for their Pinch burgers – known to be amazing. I am planning to go back and try one. Every neighborhood should have a corner restaurant like Pinch Kitchen and Bar!
