Miami Mom Collective 2nd Birthday Virtual Bash {Event Recap}

Miami Mom Collective recently celebrated its 2nd birthday and we weren’t going to let a pandemic stop the party! Last year we celebrated at the iconic Ball & Chain but this year we decided to take the party virtual! The outcome was outstanding!

There is so much to celebrate about the last 2 years! From growing our team to over 70 women, to hosting more than 45 events and working with more than 200 local and national brands! To celebrate the end of our 2nd year we made the big announcement about our rebrand to Miami Mom Collective as we believe it’s a better description of the scope and scale of who we are and what we do for the community and Moms of South Florida.

The greatest gift we could receive this year for our 2nd Birthday is the encouragement we heard from local Moms at the event about what this community has meant to them over the last 2 years.

Our event was presented by Dr. Bob Pediatric Dentist and live-streamed from The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach! One lucky mom won a weekend getaway to The Palms Hotel & Spa complete with food & beverage credit and a tiki cabana. 

A special thank you to Zoological Wildlife Foundation of Miami for partnering with us to educate the attendees about the conservation work they are doing in South Florida. 

Nearly 70 women joined us from the comfort of their homes via Zoom to celebrate.

The event began with a welcome from City Mom Collective CEO, Steph Flies who encouraged moms to stay connected during this challenging season. The call for investing in a community couldn’t have come at a better time!

Q&A with Dr. Bob

Dr. Christopher Bob was kind enough to offer us a Q&A about all things pediatric dentistry! You can read the transcript of the Q&A here. If you’re looking for a dentist for your child, we highly recommend Dr. Bob and his amazing team!

Virtual Dance Party

DJ Stephen Peters brought the party with his DJ skills throughout the night! Yes, you CAN have a real-life dance party virtually! We even had a Dance Cam which highlighted all the Mom moves. The winner of our Virtual Dance-Off won a 2 Hour Sunset Cruise from Miami Happy Cruises! See all the highlights and our finalists on our Instagram Stories!  

Happy Hour with The Mad Table

What’s a party without a signature cocktail? Chef Patty from The Mad Table led our Happy Hour Cocktail & Mocktail Demonstration. She created 2 cocktails and 1 mocktail live during our event for the Moms to enjoy. 

The Miami Mom Collective Signature Cocktail, a passionfruit and peach mule, featured Miami-based brand, Chinola, a passionfruit liqueur – the perfect addition to any summer gathering (or a socially-distanced dinner at home)!

The winner of our “Show Us Your Cocktail” challenge won a beautiful gift basket from Chinola complete with everything needed to make a Chismosa!

Comedy Sketch with Leeann & Michelle

Comedic duo Leeann & Michelle (39+ million views one YouTube!) provided the moms with laughs via their personalized Miami-quarantine-themed comedy sketch!

Live Trivia with Laura Rodriguez of NBC 6

Our Live Trivia was sponsored by Kendra Scott of Brickell City Centre and hosted by Laura Rodriguez of NBC 6. Moms had to race against the clock to answer questions about the event, Miami, and Miami Mom Collective in order to win amazing jewelry from Kendra Scott! 

Laura also shared with us about recently becoming a mom and transitioning back to her work as a local reporter with NBC 6 and Telemundo.
