Winter break is here, and I am here for it! We’ve had a challenging semester and I’m looking forward to some downtime with my family. But, truth be told, I’m also a little nervous about suddenly having so many hours to fill during the day. Enter the winter break bucket list.

A bucket list is a super fun and helpful way for the whole family to be involved in making plans. It’s like a wish list of activities you can quickly refer to when you need ideas for things to do. And the fun part about a winter break bucket list is that you can incorporate holiday fun and family traditions. Win-win.
Here are some tips and ideas to get the juices flowing:
Take Advantage of Christmastide
Christmastide, or the 12 Days of Christmas, starts on Christmas Day and continues into the new year. This has been the single most helpful thing for me as I’ve been intentional about loving my actual Christmas. There’s a lot of freedom in removing the Christmas Day deadline and enjoying holiday traditions through the new year. So as you work on your winter break bucket list, know that you still have time for holiday fun after the big day.
