Are we there yet? How much longer? The anticipation of arriving on a trip never gets old. That’s how I feel every time we are getting to Disney World! Over the years, my husband and I have tried to make every attempt to make reservations at a Disney World Specialty Dining Restaurant each time we make a trip to Disney World; however, now as a mom, it has become even more exciting because I know Enzo will experience new Disney World magic and cuisine!

Space 220 Restaurant
For the purpose of reviewing new restaurants, I will share all about Space 220! You won’t believe it, but my husband and I literally got reservations for Space 220 restaurant the day before our visit to Epcot in November of last year. That is proof–yet again–it is worth it to be persistent on the Disney World app. Reservations DO become available LAST MINUTE!
Menu/Food
The menu at Space 220 is fixed. They offer appetizers, entrees, dessert, and even specialty drinks. My favorite was the Milk Way Galaxy drink- a sweetened iced coffee with a touch of space. All in all, Space 220 really tries to make their dishes unique, both in the way they name them and set up the food combinations.
Ambiance
When you arrive at Space 220, you will enter a different world. Someone will greet you in the lobby and hand you tickets for your ride to space! The ride to space is a nifty one, as you feel the intergalactic vibes and launch a striking view as you leave Earth. Honestly, it felt like an actual Disney ride! As you enjoy your meal, you have a clear view of space–astronauts, space shuttles, and meteors filling the galaxy. My son, Enzo, loved this part the most. Now, we talk about “los hombres del espacio” and he smiles from ear to ear. Definitely tapped into his core Disney memory.
Overall Rating
My overall rating would be 4.5/5: Experience > Food
To finalize my next restaurant review, I will kindly base it on the first request I get, so make sure you leave a comet, I mean, comment 🙂
