One of the many perks of living in sunny South Florida is that we can enjoy the outdoors year-round. Thankfully, our beautiful Miami has some great parks to offer for small and big children. Check out our list below of 18 parks with playgrounds in Miami to find your new favorite local playground!
David T. Kennedy Park

2. Evelyn Greer Park
8200 SW 124th St, Pinecrest, FL 33156
Head to Evelyn Green Park in Pinecrest and enjoy a playground (with lots of shade!), baseball field, shelter, green space, solar charging stations, and a fitness circuit. Check out the reel to learn more!
3. Dante Fascell Park
8600 Red Rd, South Miami, FL 33143
We love this fun, spacious playground in South Miami. It’s fenced-in which makes it easier to keep track of the kids (and has lots of shade for those hot Miami days)! It also has plenty of green space, shelters for parties, a trail for walking/running, and more! I love to let the hubby go play with our son on the playground while I take a nice quiet walk around the park. Mom me-time win! See more in the reel here.

5. Picnic Park West
15151 NW 82nd Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33016
Picnic Park West in Miami Lakes offers plenty of green space and a covered playground. Who doesn’t love some shade in the hot Miami sun? Super cool bonus feature: it’s also home to a Little Free Library! Check out the reel on Instagram to see more.
6. Salvadore Park
1120 Andalusia Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134
Salvadore Park is located in the heart of Coral Gables. The beautiful Banyan trees which are iconic for Coral Gables offer natural shades. This playground has recently been fully renovated and is now fully inclusive and sensory-friendly. It features a big play area for toddlers and one for bigger kids. The big grassy area has zip lines, musical instruments, and a lot more. The park also has shelters for parties.
7. Pinecrest Gardens
1000 SW 57th Ave, Pinecrest, FL 33156
The highly-anticipated playground at Pinecrest Gardens has finally opened after renovations. The park is nature-themed with fun frog and snake structures the kiddos can climb into. The highlight of the park: the park’s splash pad Splash ‘N Play. The playground and splash pad are included in the garden’s admission.
8. Altos Del Mar
241 77th St, Miami Beach, FL 33141
Altos del Mar aka the Pirate Park is an ocean-front local playground and park in Miami Beach. The park is sea-life-themed and includes a pirate ship.
9. South Pointe Park
1 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139
This oceanfront playground has a vibe like no other! The playground is very clean and nicely maintained. There is a big splash pad – perfect for those hot Miami days. You can bring food and toys and have a picnic on the adjacent lawn. There is also a small cafe where you can buy snacks and organic ice cream. If you feel like being active, you can walk to the nearby South Pointe Pier. Try to come early and/or during weekdays. Parking can be a bit difficult to find due to the location’s popularity.

10. Village Green Park
450 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149
Village Green Park is located at Crandon Park in beautiful Key Biscayne. There are different areas for smaller and bigger kids including a climbing wall. There is a splash pad to cool off in Miami’s hot summer, walkways with a large central fountain, sports courts, and even a dog park.
11. Coral Way Community Center
1320 FL-933, Miami, FL 33129
This popular local playground has large play structures such as slides, climbers, and a train for the little ones. There are rest areas for the adults from which they can watch their children.

12. Peacock Park
2820 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133
Peacock Park in the Grove is located right by the water. There is one playground for younger kids from 2 to 5 as well as another play structure for bigger kids. Moreover, there is a big lawn as well as sports courts. The best part: you can have a glass of wine at the adjacent restaurant while watching your kiddos play.
13. Amelia Earhart Park
401 E 65th St, Hialeah, FL 33013
This iconic park is located in Hialeah. It features Tom Sawyer’s Play Island – a fort-style tree house with climbers, spinners, slides, balance beams, swings, and musical instruments to play. (June 2022: Please note that Tom Sawyer’s Play Island is currently closed for repairs.) Moreover, there are soccer fields, a petting zoo, and an enormous bark park. You can even rent pedal boats or go wakeboarding for a fee. Your kids can visit Bill Graham Farm Village where urbanized children have an opportunity to learn about Miami-Dade County’s agricultural past by visiting a replica of the kinds of farms that used to be common in the area. The park has a nice trail for walking and biking. During the week parking is free, on the weekends it is $7.
14. Brickell Point
485 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33131
Right across from Brickell Key, you find the beautiful oceanfront Brickell Point Park and playground. The park provides natural shade from its trees and a cute play area. There is a big lawn where your kids can run off their energy and watch the many iguanas that like to visit the park. We have even seen manatees in the water. There are food trucks right next to it in case you and your kiddos get hungry after running around.
15. Enchanted Forrest Elaine Gordon Park
1725 NE 135th St, North Miami, FL 33181
This beautiful park in North Miami is a 22-acre oasis of subtropical plants, trees, and animals. It offers a butterfly garden, a petting zoo, and horseback riding. Not only is there a private pony ride concession within the park, but also a petting zoo with goats, chickens, pigs, ducks, and donkeys.
16. Doral White Course Park
8429 NW 41st Street in Doral, FL
Doral’s newest park includes a shaded play area, a waterfront event plaza, outdoor fitness stations, a multi-purpose green space area, a fenced-off dog area, restrooms, and shelters. Enjoy a sneak peek here.
17. Downtown Doral Park

This local playground and park is very nicely maintained and fenced in. There are benches where parents can watch their children playing in the different play areas. Outside the gate, you can take a walk around the park or stroll to the adjacent Downtown Doral.
18. Alice C. Wainwright Park
2845 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33129
This waterfront beauty on Biscayne Bay features a basketball court, a resistance-based outdoor gym, and a large playground. There is also a BBQ area and three large pavilion shelters for parties of 20 people or less.
