Miami Dog Parks: 3 Local Playtime Spots for Your Fur Baby

0

Calling all dog mamas! If you’re a resident of Miami-Dade or just happen to be passing through with your family and the pups, here are 3 local Miami dog parks for you to consider visiting.

Roscoe Warren Dog Park | Homestead

Roscoe Warren is a park for the whole family. Located at 1400 Palm Dr, Homestead, FL 33035, it has basketball courts, a playground, and yes, even a dog park! The dog park is divided into two sections, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs. There are obstacle courses in both sections of the park for the pups to enjoy. Nearby there are also bathrooms and pavilions which are great to grab some shade in this South Florida heat. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

James Archer Smith Park | Homestead

This park, located at 300 NW 12th St. Homestead, FL 33030, is also family-friendly. The dog park is separated into two sections as well depending on the size of the dog. Besides the dog park, there are benches, jogging trails, and even a splash pad for the kiddos. Although this dog park is smaller than Roscoe Warren, your pup will still have a great time. Bring a doggie bowl as there is a fresh water fountain available for you to quench your doggie’s thirst. After all that running around, they’re going to need it!

West Kendall District Park | West Kendall

The West Kendall District Park located at 11255 SW 157th Ave, Miami, FL 33196 is one of my favorite dog parks in Miami-Dade County. With two distinct areas for large and small dogs, safety is key for your fur babies! The park is equipped with obstacle course items to keep your pets engaged and feeling like contestants of America’s Top Dog! We love the sidewalk to keep our shoes clear of any stray messes but make sure to pick up your pet’s business with the baggies that are posted around the park. Time to rest? Head over to the various picnic tables to take a load off and hydrate. Open from sunrise to sunset, make sure to take some water and enjoy your time with your fur babies!
