Hi Miami Moms! My name is Felicia Shtivelman and I am so excited to be part of the Miami Mom Collective Community as a contributor! I’m looking forward to sharing my story and contributing everything I have to offer to this supportive group of amazing moms!

MIAMI

I am Italian-American, born and raised in New Jersey, however, living in Florida was always my dream (goodbye snow!). Being the first generation in my family to go to college, I didn’t care where it was, as long as it was in Florida! After getting my bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Tampa, I moved to New York City for a dream job in consulting but a couple of years later, my heart was telling me to return to Florida!

So I followed my heart, and in 2015, I moved to Miami and began my MBA at the University of Miami (Go Canes!). I met my now husband and the rest is history!

MOM

I am a mom of two boys, 4 and 2, and am currently expecting my third child, with just a few more months to go (July 2024). Motherhood has been the best gift I could have ever received. As someone who used to be obsessed with career (any other type-As out there?!), it showed me that there are more important things in life. And it inspired me to start my own business so I could set a positive example for my children and finally have a career and life on my own terms.

After being a consultant for many years, I took the leap of faith and took my business full-time. Now, I am proud to say that I have a successful company, Capabee, where I offer professional leadership training, coaching and organizational consulting services. I get to do what I love–which is helping individuals and organizations improve team communication and collaboration, enhance their leadership skills, and pursue their professional/personal goals so they can also have the life/business they desire.

What I am most proud of is that my children get to see that their mom followed her heart, and with a little hard work and determination, made her dreams come true–and that they can do the same.

COLLECTIVE

I am so excited to be a part of the Miami Mom Collective community and meeting more moms!

Having a network as a mom is like having your very own squad of super(MOM)heroes at your side. It’s not just about sharing insights on how to potty train or how to handle tantrums (though that’s amazing, too!). It’s about having a group of people who you can count on, who get what you’re going through and know you’re not alone. When feeling overwhelmed and needing to vent (which can be often with kids!), having mom friends who can relate (and drink wine with you), is a lifesaver!

I’m also excited to share my career journey and support moms as they navigate their career path, pursue their goals/professional development, and help them balance the demands of family life.
