too! Unfortunately, the days of going out to dinner and a movie are no longer an option at the moment and the way we date our spouses has changed. Together, we are finding new and innovative ways to stay engaged with each other and keep the sparks going from the comfort of our home.
One of our favorite and least expensive ways to spend time together is to watch Netflix movies and escape into our own cinematic adventures.
Date night movie night is one of the most popular ways to date your loved one from home. It is an easy way to be entertained. Good movies can spark up conversations and inspire deepen connections that we have with one another. The key is to find films that will be meaningful for both you and your partner.
My Top 6 Favorite Date Night Movies for Streaming on Netflix
1. Always Be My Maybe (2019)
This is such a delightful and comical movie, definitely one of our favorites! This movie follows a pair of teenage besties who drifted apart and are reunited in adulthood after 15 years. But they struggle to adapt to each other’s worlds.
2. Murder Mystery (2019)
This film is more of a suspenseful rom-com! A New York City cop and his hairdresser wife are on an exciting trip to Europe. But they get caught up trying to solve a murder that happens aboard a billionaire’s yacht.
3. 6 Underground (2019)
If you are a couple that loves action, drama, and a thrilling adventure then this could be for you. In this movie, a tech billionaire recruits a team of international operatives to take down a brutal dictator.
4. The Irishman (2019)
If you are a couple that likes gangster type movies, then this is a movie for you. Martin Scorsese did an amazing job with this film! This movie is about a hitman looking back at the secrets he has kept as a loyal member of the Bufalino crime family. The movie is about 3hrs and 29min long! Make sure you have everything you need to keep you comfy and cozy. You are not going to want to blink or leave your seat.
5. Bird Box (2018)
Are you a couple that likes scary suspenseful thrillers that will keep you at the very edge of your seat? Then this is a film more for you than me! I typically avoid any type of horror movie, but this was better than I expected. This film will definitely make you want to clutch your spouse’s hand by the end of it!
6. Love Wedding Repeat (2020)
This movie is a rom-com that has been trending. Just like the title suggests, this film shows us alternate versions of the same day in which Jack tries to ensure his sister’s wedding celebration goes as smoothly as possible.

ZOEEEE! I loved 6 Underground, I don’t know what exactly it was but it instantly became one of my favorites! I thought it was incredible.
Train to Busan I watched alone a few months into quarantine because I needed to feel that post-apocalyptic rush I felt we were living in LOL It was super good!

We’ve been doing Amazon Prime movies lately and we watched Birds of Prey, I think it’s on HBO now, Knives Out which was SO GREAT! and Doctor Sleep which is the sequel to The Shining!
