2024 Summer Bucket List {With Printable!}

As schools are now on summer break and we are heading into the deep of the summer days, have you thought about what to do over the summer? Since I booked one vacation with the family for the July 4th weekend, I wondered what other activities I should plan for the rest of the summer. So I decided to create a summer bucket list. But, where do I start as a mom of adult and teen children? Whatever it is, just make sure to add simplicity and fun to the summer.

On my 2024 Summer Bucket List you will find ideas from a late afternoon picnic at a park to attending a moms’ event with Miami Mom Collective. Here are 3 fun ideas from my summer bucket list.

Late Summer Afternoon Picnic at a Park

Since I live in Hialeah, FL I chose to plan a late afternoon picnic with the family (also extending the invite to a few friends to join) at Amelia Earhart Park during the week. At Amelia, you will find a dog park, bike trails, fitness zones, and so many shaded spots to set up for a nice picnic. There’s also the Tom Sawyer playground that includes a little cave for the younger children to run through. Parking is free on the weekdays.

Visit a Produce Stand

I love when we cook together as a family. So I added a visit to a produce/fruit stand to pick some locally grown food items to make for dinner to my summer bucket list. Homestead, FL is full of produce and fruit stands. I’m planning on taking a drive on an early afternoon to one of my favorite stands, Robert Is Here. They are open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and everything is always fresh.

Go to a Yoga Class

Look for a yoga class to attend with the family. I added this to my list because I know that we can all benefit from a good stretch/yoga session. There are a ton of yoga classes that are held outdoors. You can also look into hiring an instructor to come to your house to conduct a lesson for you and your family.
