I think it’s clear to say that we are all going a little loco (crazy) during this social distancing phase of our lives. I asked my friends and family what they are doing to keep themselves entertained at home. Here are the top 10 things to do during social distancing that I found helpful and entertaining.

10. Running

This seems to be a big one along with riding your bike and walking.

9. Naps in the afternoon

If you have kids and they still nap, go for it! The laundry will still be there tomorrow, I promise. 

8. Catching up on all the shows

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and everything you recorded on your DVR. 

7. Home improvements

I bet you that your husbands are regretting ever telling you, “When I have time, I will get to it.” Well… I think we have time. 

6. Trying new recipes

I know, I know this is a hard one. It’s a little hard to find all the ingredients you may need, but if you’re lucky and you can get all the ingredients to make that Beef Wellington you have been wanting to make, I say go for it! Need ideas? Here are some worth trying: chocolate coconut protein bites, chewy chocolate chip cookies, best ever southern chicken salad, carrot apple bread, Nutella macarons, and homemade tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons

5. Try juicing

This one has been something we have done off and on but if you can get your hands on some fruit and veggies this is the time to start. Did you know that the nutrients in juicing can help protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer, and various inflammatory diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. It’s also good to use a blender if you want the benefits of the fiber from the vegetables and fruits. 

4. Spring cleaning

This is the time to get all that spring cleaning done. It feels good to be in a nice, clean and organized home.

3. Meditation

It helps reduce stress, control anxiety, helps with emotional health, enhances self-awareness, helps lengthen your attention span, and these are just a few of the benefits. If you have never meditated, you can find a lot of helpful tips on YouTube. 

2. Play outside

If you have a yard, go outside with your kids, play soccer, basketball, get a swing set or a slide. Get a baby pool, I swear it’s so much fun. My husband and I like it more than my older kid because it gets nice and warm and it feels like a giant float in the water. Oh, and if you have a pool, go into the pool. 

1. Workout

It can make you feel happier. Say that again?! It can make you feel happier. Yes! Did you know that working out helps with stress? Well if you didn’t, now you know!
