Daring Greatly by Brene Brown

Love her message of knowing that it is safe to feel vulnerable in a world that demands more. She reminds us that there is a lesson in life’s messes. It is a powerful book of discovering courage and letting the world see our most authentic self. Her unique approach of combining years of research to prove that being vulnerable is at the core of courage was really eye-opening for me.

In this book, Amy Morin examines the science behind the habits women develop from societal pressures, and how those habits can drain our mental strength in being our best. She addresses how women face certain challenges and pressures from society that men typically don’t have to deal with. And sometimes, this could really affect us and lead us into unhealthy habits that have the tendency to hold women back.

High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard

This is a great book if you want to separate yourself from the pack, increase productivity, and be more efficient with your daily habits. After doing extensive research on the top performers around the world, Brendon and his team were able to narrow down six performance habits that are effective in reaching long term success. This was a great book not just for my business, but also in my relationships and other areas of my life.

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins

This is a personal favorite of mine. She reminds us that everything we need, we already have we just need to figure out a way to push ourselves to achieve the things we want in life. Whether it’s taking more action, finding courage, or breaking a habit— her explanation of the 5-second rule helps you break those habits and start establishing new ones and a new way of thinking.

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

In my opinion, Rachel Hollis is relatable and amazing! She gives you the real and honest truth about what it takes to reach your goals. There were so many great takeaways in this book. Allowing us to reflect that we are responsible for who we want to become in life. And letting go of the lies that we tell ourselves that get in the way.

As moms, we hold a very special leadership position in the lives of our children. We set the example and we show them what is possible. Leaders are readers. It is so important that we take the time to self-care for our mind by reading or listening to books.  Reading 15-20 minutes a day can help you develop a good habit of reading and it can help direct you into a positive mood!

I am always searching for new personal development books to dive into, and would love to hear from you! What other personal development books would you have added to this list? Let us know in the comments below.

Stay well mommas, xo
